Read all about it...
Bradan Paul arrived in a wicked hurry on July 23rd at 8:54 am!
He was 8lbs 5oz and 20 inches long. We are all doing well and I
hope to be back by the second week of September! Stay cool
and don't forget to get a massage!
That's right, I'm expecting another baby (due date = July 29th)! As with last time I will be planning on coming back to work 6 weeks after delivery and will update my Facebook page to let you all know when that will be. I also hope to get that info posted here and in an email to my current clients. One difference this time is that I am planning on starting my maternity leave 1.5 weeks before my due date so Saturday July 18th will be the last day I will be taking appointments until mid September. Should I end up going into labor before this point (knock on wood) I'll be sure to contact you ASAP if you have an appointment scheduled with me.
Below is the contact info for Julie and Sue who are my wonderful office mates that will take good care of you while I'm out. Feel free to read through the previous posts on this page as it is all still relevent, and let me know anytime if you have any questions or concerns!
Julie Morrissey, ATC, LMT (Suite 304 - Sun/Mon/Tues/Wed)
Sue Wiley, LMT (Suite 305 - Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri)
He Has Arrived!
Connor was born Saturday March 1st, at 4:25 am with a full head
of dark hair. He was 8lbs 8oz. and 21.25" long. Everything went well
and we are enjoying getting to know him!
He's Almost Here!
It's Sunday February 23rd, and I have officially begun my maternity leave! Thank you for all of your well wishes and I look forward to seeing you again by the end of April! I'm feeling great and really getting excited to meet the little guy who is due this coming Wednesday.
I will most likely post an announcment of his arrival on my business Facebook page so feel free to check that out (you shouldn't have to have a facebook account to see it as my page is public). I also plan on sending out another email to everyone when I know what date I will be returning to work, so keep an eye out for that!
Remember that the links for my wonderful office mates are just a couple posts below this one, so I hope you will take advantage of their skills. I will still be available anytime by email if you have any questions, so don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks again and keep taking care of yourself!
What's Happening So Far:
Well, if you have been in recently you may have noticed a bit of a change in my work; I know I have! You may have took note of me using the rolling stool much more, for one. Also, my body mechanics aren't what they used to be now that I've become quite a bit bigger in the mid-section, and it has made getting low for that "oh-so-good feeling" deeper work a little tough. As a result I am relying more on my cups to help with tight muscles, especially in the back.
All of you have been very understanding of the temporary limitation and I greatly appreciate it! However, remember that it is very important to me that you feel you are receiving the work you need and want, so I ask that you always speak up and let me know if something just isn't working for you. I can try different approaches until we find something that does work for you! I know plenty of techniques that can work the deeper muscles with out me having to apply deep pressure, and also does not involve using the cups, if that is your preference.
Contact Info for Julie & Sue:
As promised, here are the websites and online booking pages for each of the two therapists who have graciously agreed to temporarily cover my practice once the little one makes his debut!
Julie Morrissey, ATC, LMT (Suite 304 - Sun/Mon/Tues/Thurs)
Sue Wiley, LMT (Suite 305 - Sun/Mon/Wed/Fri)
They both accept cash, check, or credit but please note that they are completely separate practices from me and therefore you will need to fill out a new health intake form at your first session and their rates may vary slightly from mine. Their schedules are also different from mine but I'm sure they will be able to accommodate you, and I promise you will be in good hands!
Coming February 2014!
That's right, I'm expecting a little one this winter! While this is great news, what does it mean for my practice and most importantly, you my client? Don't worry, you won't be left out in the cold!
While I hope to not have to be away from the office any longer than necessary, I realize that things don't always go as planned. I'm due February 26th and assuming things go perfectly, the minimum time I'll need off will be 6 weeks. This would have me back taking appointments in April, but I may also need to take time off before I am due if something comes up.
I know how tough it is to find a massage therapist that you feel comfortable with in personality and work style, and I greatly appreciate the trust all my clients have placed in me! However, I would hate for any of my clients to skip the bodywork they need simply because I am not available, so I will be arranging for a couple of my awesome office mates to help out while I'm away.
Once I have spoken with each of them I will provide their information here, and discuss with you in person their work and who I'd recommend for you.
Just a reminder, I will be coming back to my practice after the baby comes! Hopefully I will be back taking appointments sometime in Septmeber.
