About Me:
I was trained at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York City where I earned
my AOS in Massage Therapy. While in massage school, I received over 1200 hours of instruction
in both Eastern and Western massage techniques.

My concentration in the Eastern modalities of Shiatsu and Sotai (Japanese Chiropractics), as well
as introductions to Chinese Tui Na and Thai Massage, allows even my Swedish sessions to leave
the body more balanced afterward.

I'm very easy to talk to, and will try my best to make you feel comfortable during your sessions
with me. I especially enjoy working with people who have never had massage before. If I don't feel
my work is right for you, I will refer you to another therapist so that you may have the best
treatment possible.

I am a professional member of the
AMTA, certified in First-Aid and CPR, as well as being
nationally certified by the
NCBTMB. I also have a BA in East Asian Studies with a minor in Biology
from
SUNY Albany. While attending, I spent 6 months living in Japan near Nagoya first, and later
Kyoto as an exchange student. All of this helped to provide a great foundation for my massage
career.

I am looking forward to continuing my education in order to improve on my techniques and to add
more modalities. In the future, I would like to study Pregnancy massage, techniques for carpal
tunnel and fibromyalgia, as well as becoming certified in Thai Massage.

When not working on my practice, I enjoy various outdoor activities, reading, baking, playing with
my two cats (Raspberry & Blueberry), as well as making jewelry and all natural bath & body
products. I also enjoy visiting my family and their
camp in the Adirondacks of New York, and my
boyfriend's family in northern Maine.
I've painted and added some decor since these pictures were taken, so look for new pics soon!
